Q: Do you develop websites only using WordPress or can you develop using Squarespace, Wix etc?

We develop websites exclusively using <a href="https://wordpress.com/">WordPress</a>. For e-commerce sites we use the <a href="https://woocommerce.com/">WooCommerce</a> plugin for WordPress. We don't develop websites using other systems such as Squarespace, Wix or Shopify for a number of reasons: <ul> <li>WordPress is well known and used by millions of people in every country. After all, it has been around the longest, first being released on 27 May 2003! This means there are instructional videos, online courses and many books on how to use WordPress. Not that you need that to maintain information within your site. We can show you how to do that in minutes!</li> <li>It’s constantly being enhanced, with new updates coming out regularly</li> <li>You are not locked into a proprietary solution</li> <li>We provide specialist hosting for your WordPress website that makes your site FAST and SECURE</li> <li>Developing using only one system makes us very proficient in WordPress. Have you developed any chatbots for restaurants or fast food/takeaway?

Accepted Answer

We have developed a Facebook Messenger chatbot called POS Chat for online ordering of takeaway for pickup or delivery that can either work from a Google Sheet of products or integrates directly with the SwiftPOS Point of Sale (POS) System. It is not restricted to fast food or takeaway but can sell any product as it can work standalone from products entered into a Google Sheet.

We'll have a Case Study on the chatbot up on the website soon but you can test it working live with one of our customers, the Gumeracha Hotel in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.

Upon payment, it sends the order directly into their POS system. If the POS system is down, the order is sent via SMS as a failsafe.

When an order arrives, a short bell is sounded and a blue light flashes on a device to indicate an order has arrived. A reset button cancels the blue light. This device is handy to alert staff that an online order has arrived and to either check for it in the POS system or to enter it manually if not integrated with the POS System.

Why do you use Crisp Chat on your website rather than Messenger Chat?

Although we develop chatbots for Messenger and Instagram and are huge advocates of ManyChat, we use Crisp Chat over Messenger on our website for a number of reasons:

Crisp is a web chat solution and does not require the website visitor to have and use Messenger for chat
Crisp is far more configurable than Messenger Web Chat
Crisp provides other features like a Knowledge Base, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System and email Campaign marketing
Crisp has a very functional and feature rich Application Programming Interface (API) which allowed us to build a Natural Language Understanding FAQ System on top of it, driven by Google's Dialogflow and Google Sheets. This is a product called QnAsheet which we use ourselves and also sell.

Can QnAsheet detect questions and give answers in different languages? (Is it multilingual?)

Accepted Answer

Yes, QnAsheet is multilingual so you can have Questions and Answers in different languages.

When someone types a question into your chatbot, the language is detected and used to do a match using that language code in Dialogflow.

It supports all of Dialogflow's 100 languages (as at March 2024). See the list below or on the Dialogflow page.

When you install QnAsheet, you nominate a default, or base language. This is the language most used by your chatbot. If you only want the chatbot to converse in that language there is nothing else to do.

To add questions and answers on your sheet in different languages, simply create columns with heading names (the first row) with the language code in parenthesis () like (fr) for French. See below for all languages and their codes.

If you just use the heading Question or Answer, it will assume the question or answer is using the base language.

For example:
